Ozzy Osbourne postpones 2019 tour dates, including Rocklahoma
PRYOR - Ozzy Osbourne has postponed all of his 2019 tour dates, including his headlining gig at Rocklahoma, as he recovers from an injury sustained while dealing with a recent bout of pneumonia.
According to the Rocklahoma website, Osbourne fell at his Los Angeles home, aggravating years-old injuries from a 2003 ATV accident that required surgery last month.
“I can’t believe I have to reschedule more tour dates. Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now. I’m grateful for the love and support I’m getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it’s really what’s keeping me going. Just know that I am getting better every day … I will fully recover … I will finish my tour … I will be back!” Osbourne said in a statement.
As previously reported, Osbourne was supposed to be featured at the 13th annual Rocklahoma music festival in Pryor along with Disturbed, Shinedown, Bush, Seether, In This Moment, Steel Panther, Jackyl, Asking Alexandria and many more.
Billed as America’s Biggest Memorial Day Weekend Party, event is set to take place on Friday, May 24-Sunday, May 26 at the “Catch The Fever” Festival Grounds in Pryor, just outside Tulsa. Produced by AEG Presents, the three-day camping festival features top new rock artists and classic bands performing on three stages.
"While there is no replacement for Ozzy yet, we are working diligently to find a new headliner and will update our fans as soon as we can. We wish Ozzy a speedy recovery, and hope to see him on the Rocklahoma stage in the future," reads a message on the Rocklahoma website.
Details about the festival’s revised Saturday, May 25 lineup will be announced as soon as they are finalized. For updates and more information, go to www.Rocklahoma.com.
